Refund policy

This policy covers charges for DiGiMAA apps billed through Shopify Billing. It sits alongside Shopify's own billing rules.

Last updated 27 August 2026

TODOThis is a structural draft written by the DiGiMAA team and has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel. It describes how the apps actually work, but it is not final. If you need a signed, counsel-reviewed version for procurement, email support@digimaa.in.

1.How billing works

App subscriptions are charged by Shopify on your store's billing cycle and appear on your Shopify invoice. We never take card details and cannot charge you outside Shopify Billing.

2.Free plans and trials

Where an app or plan is free, no charge is raised and nothing needs to be cancelled beyond uninstalling. Where a trial is offered, its length is stated on the app's Shopify App Store listing before you approve the charge; you are not charged if you uninstall before the trial ends.

3.Cancellation

Uninstalling the app cancels the subscription. Shopify prorates or ends the recurring charge according to its billing rules; access continues until the app is removed.

4.When we refund

  • A charge raised after you uninstalled the app.
  • A duplicate charge for the same app and period.
  • A defect that prevented the app from performing its core function for a material part of a billing period, which we could not fix in time.
  • An accidental upgrade you tell us about within seven days, where the higher plan was not used.

5.When we do not refund

  • Change of mind after a full billing period has been used, outside consumer rights that apply to you.
  • Charges from a plan you kept while using it, where a lower plan would have been enough.
  • Third-party costs you incurred separately, such as a map provider API bill.

6.How to request a refund

Email support@digimaa.in with your shop domain, the app name, the charge date and amount, and one line on what happened. We reply within one business day and aim to decide within five. Approved refunds are issued through Shopify and appear on your Shopify billing statement.

7.Disputes

If you disagree with our decision, tell us and a second person will review it. Shopify's own billing dispute process remains available to you.

TODOTODO — align the refund windows with statutory consumer withdrawal rights in the EU and UK before publication.
