Installation

Wishlister installs from the Shopify App Store and needs no code changes to your theme.

1. Open the Wishlister listing on the Shopify App Store and click Install.
2. Approve the requested permissions and choose the Basic plan. The 7-day free trial starts now; nothing is charged during it.
3. You land on the Wishlister dashboard inside Shopify admin.
4. Place the heart and the wishlist page from the theme editor (see below).

Configuration

• Guest wishlists: on by default. Shoppers save without an account.
• Named lists: allow several category-based lists per shopper.
• Public lists and share links: let shoppers make a list public and share it through social or a link.
• Branding: choose the heart icon, layout and styling so it matches your theme.
• Import and export: bring existing lists in, or take them out as a file.

Theme app block placement

1. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
2. On the product template, add the Wishlister heart block next to the buy buttons.
3. On collection templates, enable the heart on product cards from the app embed.
4. Add the wishlist page to your navigation under Online Store → Navigation.
5. Save and preview a product to check the heart.

Data and privacy

• Stored per list: the saved products, the list name and whether it is public.
• Guest lists are tied to the shopper's browser until they log in.
• Shopify's customers/data_request and customers/redact webhooks are honoured.
• On uninstall, list data is retained for 30 days and then deleted.

Troubleshooting

The heart doesn't appear

Check the Wishlister app embed is switched on in the theme editor and the block is added to the product template.

A guest's list is missing on another device

Guest lists live in the browser they were made in. Logging in keeps a list across devices.

Do shoppers need an account?

No. Guest wishlists work without a login.

Can someone share their list?

Yes. A list can be made public and shared through social links.
